The Center for Well-Being project at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) took home 4 awards:
Judges Choice Award. This year, the 144 entries at the World of Modular were the most ever. And out of those 144 entries, The Center for Well-Being project was judged as the best of the best!
1st Place - Permanent Modular Construction – Healthcare. In addition to the Judges Choice Award, the project was also the first place winner in the category "Healthcare Over 10,000 Square Feet."
Best in Show - Marketing. The video highlighting the UMBC project dramatized schedule acceleration and featured MODLOGIQ’s own social media star, Stephanie Voulamandis, side-by-side time lapse footage of plant fabrication and site prep/work, and a bit of humor.
1st Place - Marketing - Multimedia. The video highlighting the project was also the first place winner in the marketing category "Multimedia."
The two-story Chelmsford Fire Station project that MODLOGIQ fabricated for partner Triumph Modular was another winner, taking the award for 1st Place - Permanent Modular Construction – Dormitory.
The Chelmsford Fire Station project presented an interesting challenge. The dormitory and its factory-installed exterior brick installed at MODLOGIQ’s plant had to integrate seamlessly with the site-built fire engine bays. “The new dormitory fit perfectly with the existing structure and provided a significant upgrade in comfort and amenities,” says Stacy Tanner, Director of Business Development at MODLOGIQ. “At the same time, we helped accelerate the schedule to minimize the amount of time that the emergency response team had to be housed in temporary living quarters. It was a win-win for everyone.”
