As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations, and driving overall productivity and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities / Requirements
Role and Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Process Optimization:
Analyze and assess the current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains. Develop and implement strategies to optimize production workflows, reduce downtime, and minimize waste while maintaining high product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to streamline processes and enhance overall productivity.
Resource Management:
Collaborate with the Director of Plant Operations to ensure propoer allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness. Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to maintain an uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components. Implement efficient production scheduling to meet demand while maximizing throughput and achieving revenue and profit goals.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to HSE guidelines and fostering a culture of safety awareness among the workforce. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions promptly.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Set clear performance goals for team members, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize data-driven insights to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make informed decisions for process improvement. Prepare and present regular reports on manufacturing performance, efficiency, and progress to the senior management team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in manufacturing operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and motivate the workforce. Demonstrated ability to drive change, implement process enhancements, and achieve operational excellence. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with manufacturing software and ERP systems for process monitoring and optimization.
