For our Director of Construction Services, this means working daylight hours on projects that are 85% completed at our environmentally-controlled plant—away from the cold, rain, heat, dirt, dust, noise, and safety hazards of construction job sites. It also means much less travel/time away from home.

Duties & Responsibilities / Requirements

Director of Construction Services is responsible for all aspects of Plant/Construction Operations to deliver highest levels of safety, quality, efficiency, compliance, and partner and customer satisfaction. You’ll uphold and enhance our standing as a certified Great Place to Work®. And you’ll apply creative, innovative thinking to continually improve our industry-leading, SMART OFF-SITE CONSTRUCTION methodology.


  • Lead the Safety, Quality, Pre-Construction, Procurement, Project Management and Plant/Construction departments of the New Holland Strategic Business Unit (SBU)

  • Supervise development and implementation of staff, project, and departmental goals

  • Provide leadership, direction, training, and feedback to continuously raise levels of staff knowledge, capabilities, and leadership

  • Meet projected sales forecast and yearly budgets

  • Develop and implement plans to optimize utilization of technology, assets, personnel, material, and equipment for Plant/Construction

  • Meet delivery schedules, manage sub-trade and labor staffing levels, and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Assure constructability of projects via Preconstruction oversight of structural steel engineering and detailing

  • Assure timely approvals from Third Parties and Agencies Having Jurisdiction

  • Support on-site installation and completion for projects requiring MODLOGIQ services

  • Coordinate with General Manager to develop yearly budget for Plant/Construction Operations in relation to yearly company budget

  • Review contracts and resolve issues with Preconstruction, Sales, General Manager and/or Legal

  • Provide production expertise to support Sales and new market development

  • Review estimates from a Plant/Construction Operations perspective

  • Support Sales and Pre-Construction to meet customer needs for technical bid support and information and/or interaction with the customer (drawings, schedules, meetings, etc.)

  • Maintain MODLOGIQ’s facilities to present an industry-leading, professional image and ensure safe, sustainable operations

  • Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and identify any adjustments needed

  • Responsible for the safety, quality, performance, and job satisfaction of all Plant/Construction Operations staff

  • Conduct periodic reviews of all Plant/Construction Operations staff and recommend appropriate compensation and promotions

  • Coordinate with HR and appropriate departments to recruit new hires and codify job descriptions, safety practices/controls, and employee and sub-trade policies and procedures

EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in modular and/or on-site building construction with background in Construction Management, Estimating, Project Management

  • BS/BA in Business or equivalent work experience related to Company’s products and services

  • P&L management abilities

  • Read, comprehend, interpret, evaluate and/or apply:

    • Principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

    • Bids, blueprints, contracts, financial statements, technical specifications, and/or technical manuals

    • Design and construction techniques, and tools

    • Contracts and purchase orders

    • Project schedules

  • Work outside or inside, in all seasons, in a range of temperatures

  • PC proficiency in a Windows® environment, experience with SmartSheets and Salesforce a plus

  • Work outside or inside, in all seasons, in a range of temperatures

  • Valid driver’s license and able to travel to destinations within the USA

  • Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding verbal and written English. Second language is a plus


Standard hours are between 7AM and 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri
