Duties & Responsibilities / Requirements
The Assistant Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team—managing, supervising, monitoring, directing and deploying the various people, partners, materials, and resources required for the successful completion of an off-site construction project from start to finish.
Read, understand, interpret, evaluate and apply blueprints, details, technical specifications, and/or technical manuals
Knowledge of methods of construction, procedures, practices, materials, equipment, tools, precautions, and safety
Read and apply project schedules and Statements of Work
Collaborate using project management and scheduling software
Communicate strategic, tactical, technical, and project information and direction clearly and effectively to both internal/external teams and individuals—verbally and in writing
Implement leading-edge technologies to benefit projects
Identify design features that entail cost premiums and recommend value engineering alternatives that deliver comparable or improved function
Develop staff through coaching and training

EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Associates Degree, Technical School or experience equivalent with progressively more responsible exposure to design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing Mechanical Systems.
Work outside or inside, in all seasons, in a range of temperatures
PC proficiency in a Windows® environment, experience with SmartSheets and Salesforce a plus
Valid driver’s license and able to travel to destinations within the USA and abroad
Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding verbal and written English. Second language is a plus
Standard hours are between 7AM and 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri
