Duties & Responsibilities / Requirements
As a Production Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for leading and managing our production team, production efficiencies, ensuring and fostering a collaborative and safe work environment for our resolute team. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, basic computer knowledge, technical expertise in CFS manufacturing, and a passion for driving excellence in the offsite construction industry. The candidate will work very closely with the Director of Plant Operations and each department lead within the Manufacturing Plant.
Responsibilities
Drive comprehensive production schedules, considering resource allocation, material and labor availability, project deadlines as well as other client requirements.
Work with quality assurance/quality control techs to ensure adherence to industry standards as well as all project specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
Lead, manage and motivate production staff, provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the absolute highest levels of performance and job satisfaction.
Enforce Safety Protocols and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
Managing adherence to OSHA standards and company policies.
Work with department leads to oversee inventory levels, conducting stock and project checks.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of all materials and supplies.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all product equipment and machinery are properly maintained and functioning as they should.
Oversee preventative maintenance logs and schedule routine service checks as prescribed.
Facilitate effective communication between production teams, Directors, and project management to ensure seamless workflow and project execution.
Conduct project turnover meetings and hold daily morning production and safety meetings.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging creative problem solving and innovation among the production team. This pertains to not only workflow and process streaming but also scheduling and procurement as well.
Monitor production costs and expenses by collecting and analyzing data. Work closely with the Director of Plant Operations and project management team to stay within budgetary constraints.
Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project setbacks and ensure smooth operations.
Promptly notify supervision and client when priorities, resource conflicts, and/or long lead items prevent meeting the deadline for completion of planned work so that appropriate action can be taken to adjust project schedules.
Collaborator with excellent communication skills, both written and oral required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Assessment
Demonstrated experience in identifying production bottlenecks, strategizing, and implementing process improvements, and resolving challenges quickly and effectively. Possess the ability to react and problem solve in a demanding environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary in order to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proven record of successful team management and the ability to safely motivate, guide, and mentor a diverse workforce.
Ability to perform work accurately and completely and in a timely manner.
Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (outlook, excel, work, teams (preferred)
Knowledge of Smart sheets and other tracking software.
Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance and time allocated.
Ability to provide excellent customer experience.
Ability to build relationships to collaborate with a team internally while also keeping in mind external perception and communication.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred, but experience can outweigh education requirements.
Experience
3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role specifically in the CFS or steel construction/manufacturing industry is preferred.
Working Environment
A willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
Must have reliable transportation.
Frequent activity: Viewing computer screens, review drawings, material acquisition, and schedule with the Director of Design, Director of Plant Operations, Project Superintendent in the field to ensure Management efforts are aligned with project site needs.
