Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and oversee the construction-related accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounts payable and a strong understanding of industry-specific nuances.


Key Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner

- Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards

- Verify and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices

- Prioritize and manage payments to vendors to ensure timely and efficient processing

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions

- Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve any invoicing or payment discrepancies

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies

- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounts payable

- Strong understanding of construction industry-specific accounts payable processes and documentation

- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
